Timur Aloev graduated from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ostrava in the studio Text Forma Funkce. In his work, he focused on drawing and animation. His paintings often depict ceremonies or ritual objects that are from a different but close reality. Inspiration with plant and fairy-tale motifs is obvious. The infinity of the idyllic landscape and its younger sister – the Internet – is a wellspring of Timur’s fantasies.
Timur Aloev vystudoval fakultu Umění na Ostravské Univerzitě v ateliéru Text Forma Funkce. Ve své tvorbě se zaměřil na kresbu a animaci. Jeho obrazy často znázorňují obřady či rituální předměty, které jsou sice z jiné, ale přesto blízké reality. Inspirace rostlinnými a pohádkovými motivy je zřejmá. Nekonečnost idylické krajiny a její mladší sestry – internetu, je studnice Timurových fantazií.
Timur tried to playfully grasp every piece of the pottery collection. This is not about perfection and symmetry. Clay wants to be seen as a key basic material, fingerprints are a direct evidence of human intervention. The whole form may seem ideal and inaccurate. But it was a challenge for the author. He sees himself as a perfectionist, which is why the creation of this collection of ceramics has a deeper character for him. The demons come to the surface in us and we let them speak for us in a language we can barely master.
Každý kousek z kolekce keramiky se Timur snažil pojmout hravě. Nejde tady o dokonalost a symetrii. Hlína chce být viděna jako stěžejní základní materiál, otisky prstů jsou přímým dokladem lidského zásahu. Celá forma se vám může zdát jako neideální a málo precizní. Pro autora to ale byla výzva. Sám sebe vidí jako perfekcionistu, proto má pro něj vytvoření této kolekce keramiky i hlubší charakter. Démoni v nás vyplouvají na povrch a my je necháváme mluvit za nás jazykem, který jen stěží ovládáme.
The vases are Timur’s paintings projected into 3D format. The rebirth and revival of the characters from the canvas to a more tangible form as well as the creation of the relief gave rise to three pieces that are unique and yet something unites them. Challenging coloring and glazing gives the artifact the opportunity to obtain the mimicry that nature so often gives to those who should be protected. There is strength even in fragility.
Vázy jsou Timurovy malby promítnuté do 3D formátu. Přerod a oživení postav z plátna do hmatatelnější podoby i tvorba reliéfu dala vzniknout třem kouskům, které jsou jedinečné a přesto je něco spojuje. Náročné barvení a glazování dává možnost artefaktu získat mimikry, které příroda tak často naděluje těm, kteří by měli být chráněni. I v křehkosti je síla.
